Customer Review by Syd Fraser My knowledge of art is strictly in the "I know what I like category! However, for what it is worth here are my thoughts: I have always liked Graemes' choice and mix of colours. They are most often, it seems to me, drawn from nature and especially the diverse Scottish natural landscape. In particular, the influence of mountains and sea is often to be seen. I like the soft blend of colours associated with sea,beach and sky that varies so intensely with changing light. Also, the moodier colours representing the majesty, beauty and mysterious nature of the mountains. The variety here showing the seasonal changes that convert stark, grey mist-wreathed shapes to apparently soft and undulating heatherclad meadows. The painting I most recently purchased had the influence of sea, but this time Mediterranean. I chose this painting because it contained elements that had a particular resonance for me. It was destined for the reception area of my office, but somehow seems to have found a place in my home instead! |
